The Driving Force takes anyone who has cancer and is registered with a GP in Bonnybridge, Denny or Banknock to hospital appointments for FREE.
I live in Bonnybridge and I am retired. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, especially my granddaughter. I am the assistant session clerk at Haggs Church.
Our coordinators work on a flexible rota of 2 weeks out of every 10. They work from their own homes, all equipment is provided and expenses are reimbursed.
They phone the doctor’s surgeries daily collecting the names and phone numbers of any one who wants to travel with us. They arrange a driver for each journey, and phone back the patient with the driver’s details.
This typically takes one hour per day, though if things are busy it can take up to 2 hours.
