The Driving Force takes anyone who has cancer and is registered with a GP in Bonnybridge, Denny or Banknock to hospital appointments for FREE.
Everyone involved in The Driving Force is a volunteer.
Anyone is welcome to join us and give whatever time they have. It is good fun and very rewarding. We provide any training needed. We have meetings every 4 months which everyone is very welcome to attend. The committee and coordinators have separate meetings in addtion to this.
Your new ideas, energy and enthusiasm could make a real difference to people with cancer. Volunteering need not interfere with your other commitments, will not leave you out of pocket and will not affect any benefits you receive.
The Driving Force has three types of volunteers: drivers, coordinators and fundraisers.
We ask all our volunteers to fill in an application form and provide two referees. Drivers need to fill in a disclosure form, as this is a legal requirement.
Anybody with cancer who is registered at either Bonnybridge, Banknock, Denny Cross, or Carronbank Health Centre can use our drivers to take them to and from hospital appointments and treatment sessions for cancer
